Just started in 2007 as a professional fashion photographer, Herman relies on his previous professional experience as international art-director and graphic designer, and can be considered more as a art-directing photographer, than just "a (technical) photographer".
Additionally he followed successfully a professional make-up-artist education to express better his visions, extended by a hair-styling training..and often he still styles wardrobes and creates stage-settings.
Being much more aware of the power of make-up, hair and wardrobe-styling he successfully integrates these elements into images, and can communicate it better through to the collaborating make-up-artists and stylists in his inspirational teams.
He has many styles to complement and inspire art-directors and art-buyers, ranging from simple yet intense/emotional black& whites as well illustrational high-end fashion-series.
Because of his extensive basis he acts as well as a creative soundboard, and seamlessly creates images that stand out and simultaneously supports and enforces his clients message.
Therefor he appeals to high-end clients like L'Oreal, Vichy, Matrix, Avant Garde Magazine, Esquire, Diesel.
